• Previous healthcare experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Handle intake of authorization requests via fax, phone, email and provider portal.
• Build authorization shells in JIVA.
• Route authorizations for nurse review.
• Coordinate activities for practices including insurance verification and pre-certification.
• Answer provider calls and assist with questions about the authorization process.
• Outreach to providers to obtain clinical information for medical necessity review.
• Assist in scheduling peer-to-peer calls.
