Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Patient Services Associate to ensure an excellent patient experience and support front-office workflows in California. The PSA greets patients, checks them in, collects payments, and coordinates appointments as part of the care team.
You will verify insurance, update patient records, prepare daily schedules, and handle high-volume calls while assisting with billing and referrals, all while upholding HIPAA privacy and a welcoming environment.
The Patient Services Associate (PSA) is responsible for ensuring an excellent experience for patients and maintaining efficient front-office workflows. The Patient Services Associate interacts with patients by greeting and providing check-in prior to an appointment, collecting payments, communicating about waiting times, and supporting check-out activities. PSAs respond to patient calls and inquiries on a timely basis, schedule and coordinate patient appointments, complete insurance verification and update patient insurance information to support accurate billing and efficient payment for services. The Patient Services Associate prepares the daily clinic schedule, completes the prep chart for upcoming appointments, and supports the practice care team and staff deliver high-quality care to every patient, every day.

$21.00-$30.82 per hour

Temporary is defined as Team Members who are hired for a specified project or time frame.

Temporary team members will accrue one hour of sick time for every 30 hours worked in California. Team members begin to accrue sick leave upon hire. However, they cannot use accrued sick leave until their 90th day of employment. Eligible team members continue to accrue paid sick leave as they work up to the maximum accrual cap of 80 hours or 10 days of paid sick leave. This means a team member would stop accruing paid sick leave when their paid sick leave bank reaches 80 hours or 10 days. If a team member used paid sick leave and dropped below 80 hours or ten days, the team member would begin accruing paid sick leave again. Accrued paid sick leave will carry over from year to year but is limited to the 80-hour/ten-day cap.
The Company will not pay team members for unused sick leave upon termination of employment.
