SIGN ON BONUS FOR ELIGIBLE NEW HIRES

The Patient Services Associate (PSA) II enhances the patient/customer experience by courteously and professionally processing arrival and departure activities associated with visits to the practice/department. They obtain pre-certifications and/or pre-authorizations for procedures, verify insurance, referrals, and patient demographic information. The PSA II supports the delivery of the Jefferson Experience by emphasizing prompt and courteous treatment of all patients and visitors to maintain an efficient flow of patients to examination rooms.

  1. Processes check-in and/or check-out, point of service activities, and scheduling of patient appointments via EPIC.
  2. Obtains pre-certifications and/or pre-authorizations for procedures.
  3. Maintains an efficient flow of practice and escalates patient and/or provider concerns as appropriate.
  4. Greets and interacts with patients/visitors professionally, whether on the phone or in person.
  5. Adheres to HIPAA privacy and security requirements, ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  6. Performs other duties as requested or assigned.
Job Description
Education:

HS Diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

Customer service and/or patient-facing healthcare experience preferred.
