Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association; must obtain within 30 days of hire.
• No experience required if completion of an accredited Phlebotomy Program or 1 year of phlebotomy experience.
• Able to use related equipment.
• Experience with computers and Windows-based software.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipunctures, finger sticks, heel sticks and other collection services as ordered by the provider.
• Perform CLIA waived testing per laboratory procedures.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records and make available for inspections/audits by Lab staff and CLIA Surveyors.
• Perform necessary quality controls and participate in proficiency testing.
