Brooks Rehabilitation in Jacksonville, FL seeks a Part-Time Patient Service Tech to support therapists, assist patients with exercises, and handle clerical duties in the Riverside Healthy Living Center.

You will maintain a safe, clean treatment area, manage appointments, and perform light office tasks while ensuring patient confidentiality and accurate records. This role requires strong communication and computer skills in a busy outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience in customer service or patient-facing roles preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with exercises and transfers under therapist direction.
• Communicate patients' status to Therapist directing patient care.
• Clean and maintain treatment areas and equipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment; identify hazards.
• Manage the Clinics Appointment Schedule (confirm/change appointments, manage wait list).
• Prepare new patient paperwork and verify information in medical records.
• Pre-register walk-ins, and handle referrals received by Clinic.
• Provide general office support (filing, copying, faxing, supplies).
• Collect patient payments and provide receipts.
• Log referrals and track in the Referral Database.
• Support image now queues and related tasks as assigned.

The Patient Service Tech is an opportunity to work alongside therapists performing treatments as well as working in the front of the clinic to help perform necessary day to day clerical operations.
