Job Summary

As a Patient Services Supervisor, you will assist in the successful operation and customer service of the Food & Nutrition Services Department. This entry-level manager role is an exciting opportunity to build a career in the food service industry.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure patient and client satisfaction, meeting and exceeding expectations.
• Provide menu alternatives for prescribed diets, considering allergies, sensitivities, cultural, ethnic, and religious preferences.
• Interact with nursing staff and evaluate patient meal selection, tray completion, tray delivery, and tray retrieval daily.
• Resolve patient concerns or complaints immediately and/or report concerns to supervisor as appropriate.
• Assist with all food service activities, primarily patient meal assembly and delivery; including quality improvement, sanitation, infection control, and all facility-related activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of food service experience.
• Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, or related food service operations.
• Knowledge of food trends focusing on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
• Supervisory, leadership, management, and coaching skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate with management, clients, customers, and associate levels.
• Computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, internet).
• ServSafe Certification preferred.
