Job summary

University of Vermont Health Network seeks a part-time Patient Service Specialist at UVMMC Main Campus in Burlington, VT. You will assist with daily clinical site activities and help facilitate patient flow by delivering clerical and clinical health care support under provider supervision. Demonstrated customer service experience is required; clinical or administrative setting experience is preferred.

H.S. diploma or equivalent is required with coursework in administrative or medical sciences

Please note these are PART TIME positions.

This position assists with the daily activities of a clinical site and facilitates the flow of patients by providing clerical and clinical health care support to patients and family under the direction of a provider. The position requires mastery of basic clinical activities and some advanced clinical activities.

The Patient Service Specialist is an integral part of the patient experience and a key contributor to delivering high quality customer service to our patients and visitors that is caring, consistent and reliable. The incumbent provides administrative support in the clinic setting to patients and families, members of the care team and administrative leaders to ensure the smooth operation of the medical office.

EDUCATION:
