GuideWell Emergency Doctors seeks a Patient Service Specialist to support clinic operations and enhance the patient experience. The role focuses on accurate patient intake, insurance verification, and coordination of admissions in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include entering patients, obtaining authorizations, scheduling, collecting copays, and ensuring chart integrity. Travel up to 30% may be required across market locations, with emphasis on teamwork and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Must pass Level 2 background screen and drug test.
• Able to perform duties in a busy office environment (standing, walking, teaching, public speaking, pulling, pushing, lifting, etc.).
• Ability to use all necessary office equipment (faxes, copiers, computers, telephones, etc.).
• Able to stand and work up to 12-hours in a day.

Responsibilities

• Enter new patients into the patient database.
• Verify insurance.
• Get authorization from insurance companies.
• Put together patient charts.
• Schedule patient appointments.
• Collect copays and contracted rates from patients.
• Coordinate admissions.
• Audit charts for completeness and obtain any missing information from the clinical team.
• Follow the information security policies and management system, contributing to their effectiveness, and actively reporting on their performance.
