Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Patient Service Specialist for our Chicago outpatient physical therapy center. You will greet patients, register them, schedule visits, and handle front-desk operations to ensure a smooth experience from check-in to checkout.

This part-time role requires a high school diploma; insurance verification or healthcare experience is a plus. Hours include Monday through Friday, with occasional evenings, and compensation of $17.50 to $20 per hour.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School Diploma or GED.
• Preferred: Insurance Verification Experience.
• Preferred: Healthcare experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and next appointment.
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone.
• Coordinate with attorneys, insurance companies, translation companies, market operational leaders, and business development team.
• Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications.
