Job summary

Abrazo Brain and Spine West Campus in Goodyear, AZ is seeking a non-exempt medical office professional to manage front office processes in a physician practice.

As a front desk liaison, you will greet patients, verify demographics, schedule appointments, collect co-pays, post charges, and help patients navigate the portal and referrals. You will support the care team, ensure HIPAA compliance, and contribute to a positive patient experience with attentive service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of customer service experience, preferably in a hospital or physician office setting.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients entering the practice.
• Manage office communications, including answering phones, confirming and rescheduling appointments.
• Check in patients, collect demographics, verify insurance, and enter data into the electronic system.
• Check out patients and assist with referrals and scheduling.
• Collect co-pays and post charges.
• Process charge entries and patient balances.
• Disseminate information about office policies and practice information.
• Explain the patient portal and assist with enrollment.

• Explains the patient portal and assists with patient enrollment.
• Performs additional responsibilities as needed.
