Swedish Hospital in Naperville invites a detail-oriented Patient Service Representative to join its Neurology team. In this full-time role, you will greet patients, answer calls, schedule appointments, register new patients in EPIC, and coordinate tests as ordered by physicians.

You will verify insurance, determine benefits, manage charges and payments, and provide front-desk support while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care at our Naperville and Plainfield locations.

Competenze

• Keyboard and computer skills required.
• Experience with patient intake and front desk duties is a plus.
• Bilingual Spanish is helpful but not required.

Patient Service Representative (PSR) – Neurology

Position Highlights:

Position: Patient Service Representative (PSR) - Neurology

Location: 120 Spalding Drive, Naperville and 24600 W 127th Street, Plainfield

Full Time: 36 hours a week

Office Hours: Varies Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.

Required Travel: This role includes some travel to other locations and requires flexible hours to meet operational needs

Hourly Pay Range: $18.76 - $27.20 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

What you will do:

Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, provides front desk coverage. Answers incoming calls, schedules appointments, greets patients, registers new patients in EPIC, schedules laboratory and off-site diagnostic tests requested by physician, verifies insurance eligibility and interprets covered benefits. Processes patient charges by totaling fees, applying insurance coverage, calculating adjustments, and receiving and recording payments in computer system. Clinic set-up and other office support.

What you will need:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Keyboard and computer skills
• A valid driver's license is required if the incumbent is selected to perform related duties at an off-site location. If the incumbent uses their personal vehicle, the incumbent must maintain automobile liability coverage as required by law and evidence of such coverage may be requested.

Preferred:

• A minimum of three months previous business office OR healthcare based experience
• Previous insurance, managed care, and integrative medicine experience preferred
• Medical terminology or coding experience
• Bilingual Spanish helpful, but not required
