Job summary

Esse Health in the St. Louis area seeks a Patient Service Representative for our South County Internal Medicine office at 5034 Griffin Road.

This full-time role focuses on front-desk duties in an outpatient setting and offers a benefits-eligible position with standard daytime hours. You will check in/out patients, schedule appointments, collect co-pays, verify insurance, register patient information, and handle phone inquiries.

Qualifications

• Formal training which will probably be indicated by a high school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 or more years of experience working with the public, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Knowledge of the different types of health insurance plans; i.e. HMO’s, PPO’s, etc.
• PC/Windows proficiency.
• Medical coding familiarity.
• Willingness to assign high priority to patient comfort and satisfaction.
• Ability to communicate effectively and to work compatibly with physicians, coworkers, and employees in other departments.

We are searching for a Patient Service Representative for our South County Internal Medicine office located at 5034 Griffin Road!

Opportunity

• Full-time opening
• Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
• No nights, weekends, or holidays
• Outpatient clinical practice
• Benefit eligible position

Day-to-Day

• Perform patient check-in/check-out

Who We Are Seeking (preferred)

• The Patient Service Representative is highly visible in their interactions with patients and must therefore project a positive office image at all times including smiling, greeting patients with enthusiasm, and maintaining an upbeat, positive attitude in all interactions with patients and coworkers.
