We are seeking a Patient Service Representative (PSR) for our OB/GYN office in Woolwich, NJ, working 40 hours per week.

The PSR will be the first and last point of contact for patients, providing exemplary customer service and communication. Responsibilities include greeting patients, assisting with directions, managing calls, scheduling, and performing registration functions, among others.

Essential Functions:
  1. Greeting and assisting patients and visitors, directing them appropriately.
  2. Paging or calling personnel to escort patients to exam rooms.
  3. Explaining financial requirements, collecting copayments.
  4. Registering new and existing patients and activating files.
  5. Handling calls professionally, routing as needed.
  6. Routing messages from the answering service.
  7. Supporting patients and staff, and performing other duties as assigned.
  8. Screening solicitors for relevance to organizational needs.
  9. Following infection control, safety guidelines, and confidentiality policies per HIPAA.
Qualities & Skills:
  • Adaptability to changing priorities.
  • Ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team player.
  • Availability to work 40 hours per week with flexible scheduling, including coverage at satellite locations if needed.
Education & Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Medical Receptionist/PSR experience preferred.
