Job summary

Ramapo Dental Care in Suffern, New York is seeking a Patient Service Representative to join our clinical team. You will answer phones, schedule appointments, greet patients, and help with treatment plan financing while supporting staff.

This full-time, Monday–Friday position offers pay $23–$26 per hour, plus health, dental and vision insurance, life and disability benefits, a 401(k) plan, and a collaborative, modern dental office atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a dental office is required.
• Knowledge of insurance plans (HMO/PPO) is a plus.
• Experience answering telephones.
• Must have exceptional customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and acknowledge them on arrival/dismissal.
• Respond to patient questions and concerns according to policies.
• Answering telephones.
• Scheduling appointments.
• Maintaining appointment book.
• Confirming appointments.
• Follow up on no-shows/cancellations.
• Register patients on sign-in sheet.
• Post charges and payments to patient accounts.
• Check voicemail daily.
• Maintain a clean and friendly waiting area for patients.

Position Overview:

This position is perfect for someone with a passion for providing outstanding customer service, a willingness to learn, and desired to get started in the dental field. environment. The person will be a support person to all the staff members and patients in his/her office. They will answer phones, handle patient inquiries, make appointments, and assist with the completion of the patient’s treatment plans through acceptable financial arrangements while being flexible in handling requests and projects assigned by other staff and/or the Office Manager. What we offer:

• Pay: min$23-max$26 per hour
• Full time: Monday through Friday from 7:45am to 5:00pm
