Job summary

Tenet Physician Resources in Phoenix, AZ, is seeking a non-exempt front office professional to support physician practice operations. You will greet patients, manage calls and appointments, verify insurance, check in/out patients, and assist with referrals and enrollment in the patient portal.

The role supports the Tenet HIPAA Compliance Plan and a compassionate patient experience. A $500 sign-on bonus is offered for new hires.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year in customer service, preferably in hospital or physician office setting.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients entering the practice.
• Manages office communications: answering phones, scheduling and rescheduling appointments.
• Checks in patients, collects demographics, verifies insurance, and enters data.
• Checks out patients and assists with referrals and scheduling.
• Collects co-pays and posts charges; processes charges and balances.
• Distributes information about policies and practice information.
• Explains the patient portal and assists with enrollment.
• Performs other duties as needed.

A non-exempt medical office position responsible for front office processes in the physician practice

Responsibilities

• Adheres to and supports the mission, purpose, philosophy, objectives, policies, and procedures of Tenet Physician Resources, including the Tenet HIPAA Compliance Plan and the Corporate Compliance Program.
• Greets patients entering the practice.
• Manages office communications, including answering phones, making, confirming, and rescheduling patient appointments.
• Checks in patients, collects accurate patient demographics, verifies insurance, and enters data into the electronic system.
• Checks out patients and assists them with referral processing and scheduling.
• Collects co-pays and posts charges.
• Processes charge entry and patient balances.
• Distributes information to patients regarding office policies, procedures, and practice information.
• Explains the patient portal and assists with patient enrollment.
• Performs additional responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma/GED

Experience: One year customer service experience, preferably in a hospital or physician office setting.
