Job summary

CLS Health in Houston, TX seeks a Patient Service Representative I to be the first point of contact for patients. You will greet patients, verify insurance, collect co-pays, and ensure referrals are in the chart before service.

You will maintain patient records, perform cash reconciliation, and assist with administrative tasks. Strong communication, multitasking, attention to detail, and proficiency with Microsoft Office are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in a medical office or customer service environment preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer applications.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance billing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and welcoming manner.
• Verify patient information, including insurance coverage and personal information.
• Collect co-pays and other fees from patients at the time of service.
• Ensure referrals are in the patient's chart before the patient comes in.
• Maintain patient records and ensure they are accurate and up to date.
• Count cash box and complete cash reconciliation forms; sign off on EBO report and cash reconciliation.
• Handle patient complaints and resolve issues professionally.
• Perform other administrative tasks as needed.

We are Looking for:

We are looking for a professional and courteous Patient Service Representative I to join our team. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, coordinating financial responsibilities, and ensuring that our patients have a positive experience when they visit our facility.

Responsibilities:

• Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and welcoming manner
