Job summary

OrthoAtlanta, a large orthopedic and sports medicine practice in Georgia, is seeking a Patient Services Representative. You will greet patients, check them in/out, collect payments, schedule appointments, and support front-office workflows using the EMR system.

You will assist with insurance questions, maintain accurate demographics, and help ensure smooth clinic operations in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment with a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in a medical office or clinical setting preferred.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and EMR systems (Epic a plus).
• Strong customer service skills and a professional, patient-focused demeanor.
• Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time-management abilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• High attention to detail and discretion with patient information.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly, check them in and out, and help with questions about appointments, insurance, or procedures.
• Collect co-pays, prepayments, and outstanding balances accurately while explaining financial policies as needed.
• Schedule new and follow-up appointments, answer incoming calls, and ensure timely patient communication and follow-through.
• Input and update patient demographics, insurance information, and visit details into the EMR system.
• Open and close the front office, keep the waiting area clean and organized, and work assigned EMR “buckets” to support clinic flow.
