With over 200 physicians who are leaders in their fields, Straub provides its patients with diagnoses and treatments for more than 32 different medical specialties, including bone and joint, heart, cancer, endocrinology/diabetes, family medicine, gastroenterology, geriatric medicine, internal medicine, vascular and urology. Straub is home to the Pacific Region’s only multidisciplinary burn treatment center. The hospital consistently brings new technologies and innovative medical practices to Hawai’i, such as minimally invasive cardiac surgery and total joint replacement.

The board-certified physicians in the Oncology department evaluate and treat all types of cancer and blood disorders. At Straub’s newly renovated Outpatient Treatment Center, patients receive blood transfusions, chemotherapy, nutritional support, antibiotics and other IV therapies. Straub’s Certified Oncology Nurses are trained to provide education and emotional support to patients and their families. The Straub Cancer Center team includes board certified physicians, nurses, registered dietitians, outpatient and inpatient staff, and a quality of life professional. In addition to treatment and therapy, the Center offers family education and support group sessions to help patients and their families cope with illness.
