Job summary

University of Maryland Faculty Physician’s Inc. in Baltimore is seeking a Laboratory Patient Service Center Manager to oversee operations and support clinical functions, business office, and administrative tasks of a Patient Service Center.

Under limited supervision, you will coordinate services, drive performance improvements, ensure cash reconciliation adherence, and train staff to address patient concerns while promoting patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2-3 years supervisory experience.
• Phlebotomy and processing experience required.
• Experience working in a medical office setting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and integrates services within the department with other departments, and with the System’s primary functions.
• Continuously assesses and improves the department’s performance.
• Actively utilizes improvement strategies and tools to positively impact all aspects of operations.
• In cooperation with departmental leadership, manages all on-site activities to promote patient satisfaction.
• Ensures cash collections and reconciliation processes follow FPI policies.
• Communicates operational issues to the required level of the organization for timely resolution.
• Establishes service recovery protocols; trains and empowers staff to address patient concerns; ensures issues are addressed.
