Job summary

Gastroenterology Health Partners is hiring a full-time Patient Scheduling Representative for our clinic. The role involves updating patient records, scheduling visits, and ensuring smooth patient flow while upholding high service standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior medical office experience preferred.
• Formal training as medical assistant/health unit coordinator or similar with at least 1 year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Update referral, demographic, and insurance information in the practice management system.
• Schedule office and procedure visits per physician parameters.
• Update referral and recall entries in the management system.
• Decide on safe procedure prep and scheduling based on physician preferences.
• Provide patients with forms, literature, and instructions.
• Monitor wait list and follow-up appointments after clinic and endo.

Update referral and recall entries in practice management system.Make decisions regarding safe procedure preparation and scheduling based on physician preferences.Provide patients with the appropriate forms, literature, and instruction.Monitor wait list and reports for follow up appointments after clinic and endo.The Must Haves:High School Diploma or equivalent required.Previous medical office experience, medical terminology coursework preferred.Formal training with at least one year experience as medical assistant, medical secretary, health unit coordinator, nursing assistant or similar role.In lieu of formal training has at least two (2) years experience involving patient care and is able to demonstrate a familiarity with medication names and purpose, a thorough understanding of basic medical terminology, basic knowledge of common diagnoses and surgeries, and patient health interviewing skills.
