Job summary

Alternate Solutions Health Network is seeking a Patient Scheduling Coordinator in Kettering, OH, starting at $18.00 per hour. Training runs 4–6 weeks, after which transition to remote work with a Monday–Friday 5:00 pm–9:00 pm window and weekend rotations.

You will schedule visits to align with care plans, supporting field staff to deliver high-quality home health and hospice services. The role emphasizes compassionate communication, attention to detail, and teamwork within a company offering

Qualifications

• High-School diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• 1 year of experience in health care/home care desired.
• Strong communication and scheduling skills.

Responsibilities

• Customer Service: Responds promptly and courteously to patient inquiries and coordinates with supervisors.
• Operations: Manage daily workflow in the company database and generate weekly reports.
• Policies: Follow Medicare guidelines including LUPA, re-assessments, and supervisory visits.
• Collaboration: Match patients with field staff based on clinical skill set and personality.
• Compliance: Address missed, declined, unverified, and reassigned visits with staff.
• Teamwork: Support co-workers and participate in on-call requirements.

Finally, our benefit program includes company paid life, disability insurance, and a robust Employee Assistance Program.MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:Customer Service: Responds promptly and courteously to all patients’ inquiries or problems and collaborate with administrator/supervisor regarding client concerns or complaints.Operations: Manage daily workflow in company database and process daily and weekly reports.Policies: Follow Medicare guidelines including: Low Utilization Payment Adjustment (LUPA), Re-assessment, and 13/19 supervisory visits.Collaboration: Match patients with a field staff member by determining best match in clinical skill sets and personality.Compliance: Address missed, declined, unverified, and reassigned visits with field staffTeamwork: Support co-workers and participate in on-call requirements.HARD & SOFT SKILLS:Compassionate communicator with a positive attitude.Patience is a virtue when working with patients, families, physicians, and coworkers.Attention to detail is critical, as is being observant and following directions.Problem solving and create solutions to drive to a course of action.REQUIREMENTSHigh-School graduate or equivalent.Associate's degree preferred.At least one year of experience in the Health Care industry and experience in home care is desirable.
