Job summary

MercyOne Health System is hiring a Video Monitor Technician to provide vigilant video monitoring and safety reporting. You will adhere to mission and values while delivering reliable service in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities include documenting activities in a timely fashion, reporting unsafe conditions, and following emergency procedures. Candidates should communicate well, handle stress, and commit to excellent patient care within a rotating shift environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Mandatory Reporter Training completed.
• Ability to write complete and accurate department reports.
• Able to deal effectively with stressful situations and time constraints.
• Demonstrate cooperative, courteous, dependable work behavior with multiple priorities.
• Effective interpersonal communication – listening, verbal and written.
• Commitment to high customer service standards.
• Plan and organize work to complete tasks in a timely, orderly manner.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Creative and positive problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Observe patients via video monitoring to ensure safety and report concerning behaviors.
• Document activities and services in a complete, accurate and timely manner.
• Report unsafe conditions and request assistance when needed.
• Maintain safe working environment and use PPE as required.
• Know and demonstrate departmental emergency procedures for fire and disasters.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate with staff as needed.
