Charlotte Behavioral Health Care, Inc. is seeking a Patient Safety Technician for a full-time position in Punta Gorda, FL. The role focuses on monitoring safety on a 24/7 behavioral health unit, responding to crises, and assisting with non-violent interventions as needed.

Responsibilities include participating in S&R when necessary, documenting incidents, maintaining patient confidentiality, and supporting a calm, respectful environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of experience in a behavioral health setting.
• Ability to manage stressful situations and maintain boundaries.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Valid FL driver’s license, insurance, and safe driving record.

• Respond to supervisor, Lead BHT, and charge nurse to monitor safety.
• Participate in Seclusion and Restraint (S&R) activities as needed.
• Complete S&R documentation and incident reports for each occurrence.
• Maintain patient confidentiality (HIPAA and 42-CFR).
• Attend staff meetings and trainings; assist with unit cleanliness; monitor patient behaviors.
