Cone Health Medical Group seeks a Nurse Technician Observer to support the Registered Nurse by observing and documenting patient conditions, and assisting with daily tasks under supervision to create a safe environment for patients at risk of suicide or self-harm.

This role emphasizes safety, mobility assistance, and adherence to care plans, with responsibilities including patient meals, elimination needs, and maintaining unit safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of related experience.
• BLS CPR certification required; Nurse Aide Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living tasks and progressive mobility to support recovery and plan of care.
• Assess nutrition, hydration, and elimination to anticipate patient needs.
• Admit, transfer, and discharge patients per the plan of care.
• Assist with elimination needs including ostomy care, enemas, and catheters.
• Maintain unit inventories to ensure a clean and safe environment.
• Check fall risk patients have armbands, socks, and signage for safety.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
