Job summary

Cone Health Medical Group is seeking a Nurse Technician Observer Float System Wide to support Registered Nurses by observing and documenting patient conditions, and assisting with daily living activities as needed.

Under close supervision, this role helps create a safe environment for patients at risk of suicide or self-harm, assisting with mobility, elimination needs, and basic care within the plan of care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Nurse Aide I certification.
• BLS CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily living tasks and mobility to support recovery.
• Assess nutrition, hydration, and elimination to anticipate needs.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges per plan.
• Support ostomy care, enemas, and catheter care for comfort.
• Maintain unit inventories to ensure a clean, safe environment.
• Verify fall risk patients have appropriate armbands, socks, and signage.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
