Job summary

Hospital for Special Care is seeking a Security Officer to maintain a safe and secure environment by preventing and de-escalating crises, responding to emergencies, and supporting clinical staff during behavioral incidents. You will patrol hospital buildings and grounds, monitor the surveillance system, control access, direct visitors, and report hazards to maintain safety.

Required: Connecticut Security Officer Identification Card, valid CT driver’s license, and strong interpersonal and written

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
State of Connecticut Security Officer Identification Card required.
Valid State of Connecticut driver’s license required.
Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
Ability to interact with diverse individuals.

Responsibilities

Provide a safe and secure environment by preventing and de-escalating crises.
Patrol hospital buildings and grounds to prevent fires, theft, vandalism, and security breaches.
Respond to emergencies and assist clinical staff during incidents.
Monitor surveillance and report incidents.
Escort visitors and staff as needed.
