Job summary

Baptist Health System is seeking a Manager of Patient Safety to lead the facility-wide safety program. This role directs teams to reduce medical errors, improve patient outcomes, and ensure regulatory compliance across the hospital.

You will coordinate safety activities, educate staff on system-based risk, and partner with leadership to drive continuous performance improvements. The position requires a Bachelor's in a patient care field, CPPS or eligibility, and several years of healthcare

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a patient care related field.
• Master’s Degree or JD in a healthcare related field preferred.
• CPPS certification or eligible within one year of employment.
• 2 years in Patient Safety, Quality, or Healthcare Risk Management desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee facility-wide patient safety programs and initiatives.
• Lead safety assessments and coordinate activities of the patient safety function.
• Educate staff on system-based causes of medical errors and promote best practices.
• Collaborate with executive leadership, medical staff, quality and risk management to foster a culture of safety.
