Job summary

MedStar Health’s Washington Hospital Center is seeking a Quality & Safety Specialist to support the planning, implementation, and evaluation of quality improvement and patient safety initiatives across the organization.

The role collaborates with clinical, operational, and administrative leaders, coordinates improvement projects, analyzes data, and assists in safety event management to drive system-wide enhancements. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related healthcare field required.
• Master's degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
• Experience in quality improvement, patient safety, or related area is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Partners with clinical and operational teams to implement quality and patient safety initiatives.
• Collects analyzes and monitors quality and safety performance data.
• Supports safety event reporting, Just Culture principles, and high reliability behaviors.
