Sentara Martha Jefferson in Charlottesville, VA is seeking a Safety Partner to help maintain a safe hospital environment for patients at risk of suicide, falls, wandering, agitation, or other risk behaviors during the hospital stay.

The role is full-time days, 7A-7P, with a First (Days) shift. Positive candidates will have a HS Diploma or GED, BLS within 90 days of hire, and prior healthcare experience or health sciences studies preferred. Training is provided during orientation.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or Equivalent GED - Required.
• BLS within 90 days of hire.
• Prior healthcare experience or enrollment in a health sciences program strongly preferred.

Responsabilités

• Maintain a safe hospital environment for patients at risk of suicide, falls, wandering, agitation, impulsiveness, self-harm or other risk behaviors.
• Complete Sentara Safety Partner Training during orientation if no prior experience.
• Adhere to core competencies including communication, confidentiality, de-escalation, and patient safety.
