Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA, is seeking a full-time Safety Partner for the Nursing Resource Pool. The role supports patient safety by sitting with high-risk patients (suicide, falls, wandering, self-harm) during daytime hours (7am-7pm).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Required.
• Prior Healthcare Experience or Enrollment in a Health Sciences Program is Strongly Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sits with patients at risk of suicide, falls, wandering, self-harm, or other risk behaviors to help maintain function during hospitalization.
• Assist with keeping patients and the hospital a safe environment.
