Moberly Regional Medical Center seeks a Patient Safety Attendant to provide continuous observation and maintain a safe environment for assigned patients under the direction of an RN. The role emphasizes infection control, patient privacy, and prompt reporting of any changes in condition.

You will work with the nursing team to monitor safety, follow hospital policies, and engage patients to reduce restlessness.

Formación

• 0–1 year of patient sitter experience.
• BCLS certification within 14 days of hire.
• Ability to maintain continuous observation and respond to safety concerns.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality regulations.

Responsabilidades

• Observes and monitors patients to ensure safety per hospital policy.
• Maintains continuous visual observation and stays with the patient at all times.
• Protects patient confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines.
• Follows infection control and PPE guidelines.
• Keeps environment clean and safe; handles waste per policy.
• Reassures patients and reduces anxiety through engagement.
• Reports safety hazards or changes to RN immediately.
• Completes delegated duties accurately under supervision.
• Maintains regular, reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
