VPNE Parking Solutions LLC seeks a Patient Observer to support a multidisciplinary treatment team in providing safe, individualized care. You will observe patients one-to-one, communicate changes to the nurse, and stay with patients during shifts to ensure safety and dignity.

The role emphasizes collaboration with nursing staff, participation in teaching coping techniques, and completing required documentation to maintain high standards of care.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum two years of prior experience in psychiatry or related field preferred.
• Proficient in English both verbally and in writing.

Aufgaben

• Provides one-to-one observation with continuous visualization to ensure safety.
• Notifies the patient's nurse of changes in physical or psychiatric condition.
• Remains with patient at all times unless relieved for breaks, meals, or end of shift.
• Initiates patient activities and social interactions per the nursing plan of care.
• Maintains environmental and emotional safety through limit setting and monitoring visitors under RN direction.
• Maintains a clean and safe patient environment.
• Under RN direction, provides individualized patient care to ensure safety and dignity.
• Follows the patient care plan preserving safety, dignity and autonomy.
• Observes and reports behavioral responses to interventions.
• Collaborates with the primary nurse to assist testing and consultations.
• Participates in teaching behavioral techniques such as relaxation and coping skills.
• Completes required documentation (15 minute observation form, Environmental Safety Checks).
• Completes annual sitter competency evaluation.
• Performs non-therapeutic functions under MD/PA/APRN or RN supervision.
