McLaren Health Care Corporation is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide close observation and assistance with activities of daily living under RN supervision. Responsibilities include patient safety, comfort, and accurate data recording in a collaborative care setting.

The role emphasizes staying with the patient, following care plans, and contributing to a safe unit environment while maintaining professionalism and respect for patients and families.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates ability to provide a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.
• Strong written and verbal communication with patients and families.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, patient rights, privacy and confidentiality.
• Ability to interpret basic medical terminology and care plans.

Responsabilités

• Obtains verbal report from the patient’s nurse with care needs, diagnosis, barriers and special considerations.
• Positions self in patient room to maintain constant visual observation; never leaves patient alone.
• Follows nurse instructions on ambulation limits and redirection.
• Must accompany and stay within arm’s length during tests or procedures.
• Ensures patient comfort, safety, and a clean, safe environment.
• Works cooperatively as a team member and responds to changing unit needs.
• Communicates professionally with patients, families, and health-care staff.
• Records data accurately and notifies RN of untoward events.
• Performs other related duties as required.
