Job summary

CalvertHealth is seeking a Patient Observer to provide continuous visual monitoring of patients requiring ongoing observation to ensure safety and prevent harm.

Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, the observer maintains constant observation, supports a safe and therapeutic environment, and promptly reports any changes in patient condition or safety risks. CPR certification within 30 days and CIT training within 3 months are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Provide continuous direct visual monitoring to ensure safety and prevent harm.
• Under RN direction maintain a safe and therapeutic environment and promptly report changes in patient condition, behavior, or safety risks.
