Sioux Falls VA Health Care System is seeking a Patient Safety Informatics Registered Nurse to blend clinical expertise, informatics, and systems thinking to identify electronic health record risks and analyze safety trends. You will guide risk mitigation and collaborate with local and national partners to strengthen patient safety across the organization.

The role focuses on improving digital workflows, auditing safety events, and supporting safe system use within the VA's Sioux Falls health

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the United States
• Graduated from an approved nursing program (ACEN/CCNE) or equivalent foreign education with licensure
• Bridge program pathway available for Master’s level entry to RN
• State license required upon appointment and eligibility for permanent status

Responsabilités

• Identify EHR risks and safety issues within digital workflows
• Review and reconcile patient safety events and tickets in the EHR environment
• Collaborate with informatics, safety, and quality teams to implement improvements
• Educate users on patient safety responsibilities during go-lives and sustainment activities
