Job summary

The candidate provides tiered support, performs on-site troubleshooting, trains new users, and participates in interface testing and system enhancements to improve patient care and operational workflows.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Any combination totaling one year from IT coursework or IT-related work.
- Over 3 years’ experience as RN, LPN, or Clinical Informatics Nurse.
- Over 3 years’ experience with an electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Licensed as an RN or LPN in Illinois.
- Work experience may run concurrently with required education.
Responsibilities
- Provides subject-matter expertise in EHR use in patient care.
- Offers phone support to providers and staff regarding EHR questions.
- Travels to SIU clinic areas to assist on-site as needed.
- Troubleshoots EHR issues and documents actions taken.
- Coordinates support with SIU and partner health systems to resolve issues.
- Promotes SIU Medicine IT initiatives and maintains professionalism.
