Job summary

Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) seeks a Patient Safety Companion on the Float Team to monitor adult and pediatric units across the downtown campus. You will provide continuous one-on-one observation to ensure safety and comfort while supporting the interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, notifying RNs of concerns, and providing clerical support when not on patient care duties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 4 weeks of hire; maintain BLS thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients one-on-one to ensure safety and comfort.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living as directed by RN.
• Notify the Registered Nurse immediately of any patient concerns; provide clerical support when not on duty.
