University of Miami Hospital seeks a Patient Safety Observer (Full Time) to supervise patients at risk of injury or elopement, coordinating with nurses and physicians to ensure safety. Responsibilities include preparing rooms, assisting with personal care, and supporting discharge procedures while adhering to infection control and safety protocols.

The role requires a high school diploma, BLS certification, and at least 1 year of relevant experience.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
• Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.

Responsabilidades

• Provide supervision of patients at risk of injury or elopement.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team and report safety concerns to nursing staff.
• Prepare patients' rooms and orient them to room, bed, and call system.
• Assist with patient care activities (bathing, dressing, feeding, linen changes).
• Support discharge process by helping with packing and transportation to lobby.
• Follow infection control, OSHA, AHCA guidelines and isolation practices.
