Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital, part of Trinity Health Of New England, seeks a Patient Safety Attendant to provide continuous observation and support to patients in a day shift. The PSA will verbally redirect unsafe behaviors, assist with ADLs, and document observations in medical records while protecting patient privacy.

Responsibilities include collaborating with nursing staff, participating in handoffs, and responding rapidly to changes in patient condition.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required or preferred.
• BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross is preferred.
• Previous hospital experience is preferred.

Employment Type: Part time Shift: Day Shift Description: Position Purpose At Saint Francis Hospital, the Patient Safety Attendant (PSA) plays a critical role in maintaining a safe and supportive environment for patients. This position involves continuous observation of assigned patients, verbal redirection from at-risk behaviors, and collaboration with nursing staff to ensure quality care.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $17.00 - $21.80 per hour Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
