HCA Florida West Hospital is seeking a Patient Safety Attendant (PSA) to provide continuous observation and monitoring for high-risk patients, ensuring a safe environment and reducing fall risk. You may assist with basic activities of daily living as part of patient-centered care.

No prior experience required. Certifications listed below should be completed within specified timeframes after start of employment, in a supportive hospital setting that values teamwork and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• Other-Fingerprint Required must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• No experience required

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Patient Safety Attendant (PSA) participates in high-quality, patient-centered care by providing continuous observation and monitoring for high risk patients. In collaboration with the patient care team, the PSA ensures the patient environment is free of obstacles and minimizes risk of falls and accidental or intentional self-harm. The Sitter may also assist with basic activities of daily living.
