Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) certification required prior to orientation.
• Code Gray or AVADE Training within 3 months of hire.
• Preferred: CNA, EMT, MA licensure/certification or related training.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous monitoring by maintaining constant visual observation of an assigned patient to ensure safety.
• Conduct room checks to remove potential harmful items.
• Assist with activities of daily living as needed.
• Document observations and patient responses in the medical record per procedures.
• Follow safety measures and de-escalation protocols while maintaining patient dignity.
• Travel between St. Charles Hospitals and nursing departments as required.
