Job summary

Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center is seeking a qualified Food & Nutrition Room Service Attendant to obtain patient food preferences and meal orders, ensuring safety and adherence to standards. The role includes participating in team training and supporting patient and physician satisfaction.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with healthcare experience preferred and food safety certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate/Equivalent preferred.
• 1+ years of experience in healthcare preferred.
• Food Handlers or SERV Safe Certificate preferred (90-day grace period after hire).

Responsibilities

• Utilizes systems/processes to ensure patient safety, infection control practices, department security & HIPAA guidelines.
• Adhere to HACCP/food safety guidelines/policies & procedures.
• Maintain and adhere to Food & Nutrition’s uniform and personal appearance standards at all times.
• Utilizes proper processes to achieve patient, customer & physician satisfaction goals.
• Participate in training with other members of the Food Service department staff to further develop/advance within the industry.
