Job summary

Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center is seeking a Hospital Housekeeper to perform daily and periodic cleaning in patient areas and common spaces, ensuring a safe and sanitary environment. You will sanitize a range of surfaces from floors to patient rooms while adhering to infection-control policies and safety practices.

Flexibility and teamwork are essential for shifting needs. The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or GED and at least 1 year of Environmental Services or housekeeping

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (preferred).
• At least 1 year Environmental Services or Housekeeping experience (preferred).
• Follows Infection Control policies and uses proper cleaning tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily and periodic cleaning in assigned areas to maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Sanitize floors, walls, windows, doors, fixtures, furnishings and patient rooms.
• Follow Infection Control policies and use proper body mechanics and lifting techniques.
• Pursue opportunities for improvement and adapt to hospital needs as directed by Environmental Services Leadership.
