Job location is Birmingham, AL. Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is seeking a friendly, dependable Food Service Representative to support patient room service in a hospital environment.

Responsibilities include handling inbound calls, guiding menu options, and ensuring accurate order processing with coordination from nutrition and food service staff. On-site role with 5:00am–1:30pm shifts and a starting pay of $15.00/hour.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED plus one year of related experience (order taking, customer service, other telephone work).
• Call center / customer service experience strongly preferred (inbound/outbound ordering).
• Basic computer and keyboard skills; training in fully automated system.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound calls from patients for food orders (room service).
• Discuss various food options and selections with patients/families.
• Provide friendly and exceptional service to patients and their families.
• Direct patients toward appropriate food items to meet nutritional goals and explain the room service process.
• Review and edit patients' menu selections; consult with clinical nutrition or food service staff as needed.
• Maneuver a software program with dropdown menus and data entry.
• Meet productivity standards and reflect health system values in all areas of service.
• Occasionally assist with food order deliveries.
