Job summary

Allegheny Health Network in Pittsburgh is seeking a hospital housekeeping professional to perform standardized cleaning in patient rooms, offices, and ancillary areas. You will support departments, discharge cleaning, and daily operations to ensure patient care continuity.

The role requires adherence to safety standards, ability to operate cleaning equipment, and willingness to participate in patient satisfaction initiatives. FIT testing may be required upon hire.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Basic reading, writing and effective communication skills.
• Ability to operate power equipment.
• Minimum FIT testing may be required, but provided upon hire as needed.

Responsibilities

• Performs timely patient room cleaning and supports departments; cleans discharge, patient rooms, offices and ancillary areas.
• Cleans exterior of assigned building; refills dispensers and collects receptacles.
• Performs project tasks such as wall washing, trash removal, biohazardous linens and sharps container removal.
• Assists with Hospital emergency cleanup when required.
• Participates in Patient Satisfaction initiatives to meet department goals.
• Adheres to hospital safety standards and clearly marks hazardous areas.
