Job summary

Progress West Hospital is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to clean patient rooms and public areas, ensuring a clean, safe environment and preventing infections. The role includes discharge cleaning and room setup, with attention to linens, surfaces, and equipment.

The position offers a full-time schedule (40 hours/week) with an evening shift and rotating holidays, requiring direct patient interaction to support high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Requires Direct Patient Interaction.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine janitorial and cleaning activities in patient, public and common areas using prescribed, established cleaning process.
• Performs discharge cleaning process in inpatient rooms and prepares room for next admission.
• Performs room set up and changes as needed, including changing linens, cleaning, mopping and furnishing.
• Keeps equipment clean and functional according to procedure.
• Notifies supervisor or manager of any equipment, furniture, or building fixtures that are in need of maintenance.
