Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Schedules outpatients for ancillary services and obtains precertification.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and professional conduct.
• Greets customers and provides a courteous, professional image.
• Pre-registers or registers inpatients/outpatients; enters data into systems.
• Coordinates tests/preparations and minimizes extra visits.
• Notifies insurers of admissions and precertifications when needed.
• Ensures prior authorization per hospital policy.
• Reviews upcoming admissions for precertification requirements.
