Job summary

MemorialCare is seeking a Registration Representative in Fountain Valley, CA. This per diem position in the Main Admitting department involves registering patients for procedures, admissions, outpatient and ER visits, and ensuring accurate demographic and insurance data for proper billing.

Responsibilities include posting payments in Epic, maintaining excellent customer service, and following policies to sustain a high registration accuracy rate. Shift: Days; Pay rate: $23/hr.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years Medical Office/Admitting/Registration experience preferred.
• Bi-lingual (English/Spanish or English/Vietnamese) preferred.
• General knowledge of insurance payors: PPO, HMO, POS, EPO, Medicare, Medi-Cal, CalOptima preferred.
• General computer skills including electronic medical record and Microsoft Office preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients for procedures, admissions, outpatient and ER visits.
• Obtain and verify demographic and insurance information for accurate identification and billing.
• Post patient payments in Epic and drop payments in the safe or cash drawer.
• Maintain excellent customer service with patients, visitors, clinicians and co workers.
• Adhere to policies and maintain registration accuracy and timely documentation.
