Job summary

Qualifications

• One year of hospital registration experience preferred.
• Knowledge of insurance including government, HMOs and PPOs.
• For precertification/authorization, Excel and Microsoft Word experience required.
• Must be organized and able to work in a high-activity busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Register patients accurately and timely under supervision.
• Verify, precertify and obtain coverage for procedures requiring approval.
• Calculate and collect copays and deductibles.
• Shifts vary, including nights and weekends.
