Responsibilities

• Monitors daily schedule for patients arriving in the department.
• Registers admitted or non-scheduled patients for the department.
• Collects co-payments or deposits as appropriate for service.
• Balances cash drawer at end of day.
• Explains facility policies and assists with consent forms and insurance documents.
• Ensures accurate demographic and insurance information in the system.
• Complies with Medicare/Medicaid and other insurance rules.
• Performs other duties or projects as assigned by Management.
